For this author’s room, the artist Diego Bocelli took inspiration from some works inspired by the Della Robbia, one of the most important families in the Tuscan scene between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Sculptors and artists specialized in the technique of glazed terracotta, the Della Robbia have in fact become the symbol of colored “maiolica” (tin glazed pottery). Taking inspiration from their creations, the artist Bocelli created a high relief fiberglass in which he depicted workers intent on collecting fruit from trees: a scene that, even today, our guests could see walking on the paths along our fields. The furnishings of this room have been handmade with recycled materials and are unique pieces. Even the walls speak of our territory: they were in fact plastered with a mixture to which the land of our surrounding fields was added.
Very bright and composed of a double bed and a single bed, the room has large windows and a French door that leads to a terrace from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of both the park’s woods and the entire Pian delle Vigne valley. Vineyards, up to the Metalliferous Hills.
The terracotta floor is typical, while the bathroom sink top is noteworthy: a slab of Castagneto Carducci marble from a quarry that has been closed for years and characterized by typical ocher and pinkish veins.
The sanitary ware is inspired by the style of the Renaissance villas while the shower cabin is in crystal.
